Today is A Good Day!

I am beginning by posting another quote that represents making it through our storms in life and finding hope. This week I have worked myself so hard and all I want is rest, but I think I'm not going to do that and I'm going to keep going. While I have been writing I have tried to tell you that it is very important to love yourself and find strength from within. Even if you are as low as you feel you can get, you are deeply hurt, your wandering aimlessly, or you feel as if no one is there, I can assure you that you are not alone. What is beauty in this world to you? Today as I was just about to take my brother to school when my gas light on my car came on and it started beeping. Normally, I am nervous at any less than a quarter of a tank to even go down the street. But, I had to take him to school. So, I thought to myself I could do one of two things right now, I could turn around and not get what I wanted done or I could have a little hope that I could make it and not look at the gas light. So I decided, to turn up the music and sing at the top of my lungs to, "How Great Is Our God." by "Chris Tomlin" It was just feeling like one of those days, but in everything we face we can decide do we want to turn around and not face it or do we want to ride it out and have faith that God will pull through? I know what your thinking, "You can't magically get more gas in your car by having faith...." Well to you, I have to say, I think you need to go to "" and look up, "Jesus Take The Wheel." When I got home my son had gotten up and my laundry was still unfolded, my dishes were still piled in the sink like I left them, and my house was pretty dirty. Now I was faced with another decision, "Do I work my butt off to clean everything or do I leave everything messy?" Well for today I came to the conclusion that I was going to leave everything exactly the way it was. To some this may look lazy, but I decided to spend my time doing more worthwhile things today, like curling up on the couch and watching Finding Nemo with my little man. We all spend so much time doing everything exactly how we feel it should be done, cleaning messes because we don't want to look at them anymore, and having a routine so that we only focus on what we are doing at that exact moment and this morning that frustrated me. I just don't understand why we need to have blinders on our eyes? There is so much beauty in this world that we could see if we took those blinders off and let our minds and hearts see it. For instance putting everything but your family aside for the day, not cleaning messes because those messes are signs that you have a happy child, and doing the day unscripted letting your eyes see the beauty around you. Now this world is not a pleasant one, it can drag you down, and take all the strength you have so if it can be so bad, how is there still so much beauty in it? If you look for it I bet you would see at least a hundred things in one day that are filled with beauty. When I think about this the world looks a whole lot like me and you, it has a million things wrong that can bring you down and that you can choose to fixate on and let that be your main opinion on it, but at the end of the day we are still in this world and have to bear it. And at the end of the day, we are still ourselves. We still have the scars and the mistakes we have made, but we are faced with a decision everyday to either love ourselves for the leaps and bounds we have grown and accept that we still have a while to go, or we can stay fixated on the bad that we have done and decide that we want to turn around and not want to be us. I bet the majority of us want to do the first one. That is the first step to loving yourself is to accept everything that you have messed up, want to make today a better day, and ask God to help you get there. And once you accept the faults and the mistakes in your life, those chains come off, and you can see the beauty inside you and let go of the bad and let the good shine through. So I have a challenge for today, to put this computer down after your done reading this and look around you. Look at all you have and all the beauty you have inside yourself. Go and show the world. Don't do your cleaning. Don't dress yourself up. Just accept that you are good enough without doing all those unnecessary things. Let's focus on our families and the beauty that is waiting for us to see it.

I do enjoy the way you have framed this specific matter and it really does supply me some fodder for thought. On the other hand, through what precisely I have seen, I simply just trust when other commentary pile on that folks continue to be on issue and in no way embark on a tirade of the news of the day. Yet, thank you for this excellent point and whilst I can not concur with the idea in totality, I respect your point of view.

My brother suggested I might like this website. He was entirely right. This post truly made my day. You can not imagine simply how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
