Why would they do that? How could they do that to me? Don't they know how I feel? I matter too, right?
Change these to:
Why would I let what they did bother me? They didn't do it to me, they did it, it was their choice. Why are you letting their choices disrupt your heart? Of course you matter, only look inside for your self-confidence.
In a recent conversation I was talking to an amazing young woman and she was so distraught about everything people were doing and saying about and to her. I remembered a sermon by Joyce Meyer on not letting everyone get to you. Many times people talk about whats in their head, on their mind, in their heart and it has NOTHING to do with us. Our insecurities though grab onto anything that we think applies to us. So it isn't that person hurting us, it's your own mind grabbing the thoughts and making them about you.
Thought to think on: Acts 7:49 'Heaven is my throne, and the Earth is my footstool.' When you try to do right, say right, love right and act right some people on earth will not understand for their selfish, human ways will be jealous (That person is to good, they don't understand me.), prideful (Why would you act that way?) but honestly it doesn't matter. You just have to do you and let your ways influence others.
Think of yourself as a rubber band instead of a metal bar- you are bendable, you flex, you snap back and you can gather things together. A metal bar is straight, won't bend without major force, it's hard and resistant.
To make today better, you have to focus on you. The only controllable is YOU!
