Good Morning! When woke up this morning I had a message on my heart, the words, “Be Still, and Know God”, were booming loudly at me. While I was busy making breakfast and thinking of the million and one things under the sun I NEED to do—the words grew louder. I thought, ok, Lord, I know what you are telling me.
You see, I am the type of person who is always on the go, I feel like we have to be everywhere, do everything. I tend to stress out thinking of everything that WE have to do. I have to remind myself, and God, knows just when I need that reminder. Many of us run from one thing to the next. Our minds do not know how to be still, take a back seat, and relax.
When we go go go, we are a part of everything, but are we REALLY a part of it?? Are you 100% involved—body-mind and soul? Probably not, because our minds are busy engaging into the next item we must do. We are missing life, we are missing the precious memories right in front of us.
We need to be careful and let God hear our plans. The next step is the toughest, (for me anyways), SLOW DOWN and WAIT, and make sure that is the plan we are to go forward with. Let us be human beings and not human doings. Take time, put down your phone, and turn off the television and anything else that is a distraction. Play with your kids, watch the clouds, go for a walk, look up, and see the beauty that is currently taking place in your life. Live in this moment! Rejoice!
God gives His highest and best to those whose trust is in Him. Be still and let Him show Himself strong in your life.
